GTA 6 community vs playable server
The community could be created in order to communicate, make friends and prepare for an upcoming event. Our roleplay server clipping campaigns cover existing GTA 5 communities and future GTA 6 promotion plans. A server is an IT infrastructure service, which has certain demands and accessibility characteristics. Do not mix the idea of a community with that of an IT service – when a person joins a community meant for preparation, he or she should understand that the community does not yet provide a playable GTA 6 server. To build a creator brief around that distinction, use the GTA 6 server clipping campaign plan.
Provide information officially confirmed by developers on game and platform capabilities. Do not assume that support of any game-server ecosystem is the same support of a community of a GTA 6 server. See our GTA 6 prelaunch marketing guide for more on describing the preparation process.
Define your GTA 6 community's value
Define what exactly people are able to do right now – discuss the project, develop the rules, attend allowed events, watch the development or anything else. Focus on action instead of using meaningless description such as 'the most excellent'.
Identify what kind of engagement the community should have – for example, a roleplay-oriented community could need stories and their conducting. Community of creators could be engaged in teamwork and inventiveness. It is good when marketing attracts appropriate members and gives them information on the current phase of the project.
Show your roleplay community culture
A short movie could show community members' interaction, moderating of rules and decision making by the team. Pick appropriate material – which follows rules and demonstrates values of your community.
When using video made in another game or an earlier version of your community/project, always specify it. Do not claim it to be gameplay in GTA 6 or demonstration of confirmed technical features. Our content permission checklist will help you understand whose rights should be agreed when it comes to people's appearance and voice recordings or private conversation recording.
Prepare onboarding for new GTA 6 community members
Prepare arriving users from your ads. Explanations are needed on what the community is, what is currently provided by the community, the community rules and membership process. The arrival point should be as simple as possible – the enthusiast would get quickly confused by invitations to multiple chat rooms/channels.
Make sure you have enough workforce of moderation staff for processing the requests. The marketing campaign, inviting users to an underdeveloped community, might be irritating both for newcomers and for regulars of your community. Also you should define people who process requests and provide realistic expectation about processing time in case of necessity.
Choose GTA 6 roleplay content that attracts the right players
Marketing campaign for attracting people to a community should contain explanation of why those people want to join. Tell about some rule, present a team member, tell a community story or answer to frequently asked questions. Relying on spectacular content is useless if the aim is to gather thoughtful participants.
When you choose distribution platforms/partners for a campaign, read the GTA 6 creator marketing guide. The huge audience might have little interest in the community goals and therefore would not be as valuable as a smaller audience that suits your community best. The destination point and participant expectations are important parts of creator brief.
Plan GTA 6 server campaign terms
Specify the materials used for the campaign, language of ad copy, disclaimers, exact text regarding the availability and destination point. When the campaign promises financial reward for the views that qualify as eligible, then all metrics, rate, thresholds, cap and approval procedures should be specified precisely. Creators should know exactly how to talk about your work-in-progress project.
Minimum campaign plan of GTA Clipper requires a $1,000 rewards budget and 20% campaign fee. When preparing budget, read our GTA 6 campaign budget guide. Do not expect the number of estimated views to be equal to the number of active members of the community.
Track retention, not just join counts
Join count could be a sign of interest but does not confirm if a newcomer understands your community and its goals and is willing to engage with them. Instead, think about real participation, onboarding completion, productive questions and retention within a certain period of time, when it is possible to monitor all these metrics.
Collect data in proportion and do not make it appear that precise attribution could be done. Maybe the community got revealed via several channels simultaneously. The GTA 6 Campaign analytics guide will help you split distribution metrics from conversions.
Update server marketing as plans change
Update ad copy when the project changed after announcement, scope of your project or community availability changed. Clear the old statements from your landing pages and give new directions to the creators.
Do not spread contradicting messages; just explain the change instead. It is simpler to maintain the trust within your community if decisions and suggestions would be separated. Marketing may support your project during its first stage but should not create obligations you cannot fulfill.
GTA 6 server marketing checklist
Before starting, verify the wording, permission to use the source content, accuracy of invitation links, onboarding instructions, moderation coverage and campaign reviewer. Let someone unfamiliar with the community go through the full process – when the message is incorrect, correct it before running a costly marketing campaign.
