Define the players your FiveM server wants
Figure out what sort of players your server is set up to welcome before paying for attention. A community seeking patient civilian roleplayers needs a different message from one recruiting emergency-service characters. Make sure that you know the language, preferred gameplay hours, joining routine, and roleplay method used. The details will help the creators select scenes that attract people likely to enjoy participating.
It is crucial on the operational front as well. You will need a point of contact for queries, applications, and explanations about the roleplaying rules for newbies. If your campaign creates more demand than your crew can handle at the moment, interested players may be left waiting without information. Set an achievable limit for newcomers and match your destination to it. Check our GTA 5 roleplay server scene selection guide to learn how to accomplish it.
FiveM player journey: discovery to application
People normally do not decide to join the RP community on the basis of just one piece of content that shows it. One engaging video may mention the name of your server for the first time; the second one may show how a character begins work or joins an event. The destination explains the rules and the application procedure further. Plan those steps together rather than expecting one video to describe the entire server.
Think of a valuable question for each phase in the process of decision-making. What attracts me about that community? What should I do on the server? How do I start roleplaying there? Choose clips that answer those questions truthfully. Your video promoting a FiveM server needs to describe the existing experience honestly, including whether an activity welcomes newcomers or requires training and permission.
Write a FiveM clipping campaign brief
It cannot consist only of a folder of dramatic footage for the promotion campaign on GTA 5 servers. Include a short description of your server, source material, timecodes, permissions, and acceptable sample cuts. Write down the name of your server, the destination page for clicks, the required disclosure in your posts, and the policy concerning player information.
Specify the allowed accounts and platforms before the work with the creator starts. Do not let them invent anything that is not true about your server: player counts, waiting time for admission, special privileges or guaranteed entry. Let the reviewer easily find the proof in your requirement document instead of guessing your expectations. See the questions we include in our roleplay server clipper hiring guide to discuss before assigning the work to anyone.
Choose where to advertise your FiveM server
It starts with social networks you and your crew can support and your potential viewers prefer. Some scenes can fit TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and X, but publishing and campaign requirements can differ between platforms. Specify permitted platforms in the brief and make the submission process clear in it. Do not assume a post qualifies for payment if it appears on a platform or account the campaign does not permit.
Combine campaign clips with useful information on your own community channels. Someone who follows a server link should find a clear explanation of the same experience. Keep community listings and application instructions consistent. Learn production details for the short videos in the roleplay TikTok and Shorts guide. It focuses on making clips understandable to viewers without guaranteeing reach.
Set your FiveM advertising budget
Determine creator rewards, the management fee, and additional costs agreed on beforehand. The minimum creator rewards budget in GTA Clipper campaigns is $1,000, with a 20% campaign fee added to it. Therefore, a rewards budget of $2,000 has an additional 20%, or $400, campaign fee, making the total $2,400 before any third-party service charges. Read our campaign pricing to determine the total amount.
In view-based campaigns, write down the CPM, eligible view period, caps, and acceptance conditions before running them. At an example rate of $2 per 1,000 eligible approved views, 25,000 approved views produce a $50 reward before caps and applicable third-party service fees. It is an illustration only and is not an available campaign rate or a guaranteed result. Do not mix creator CPM with the cost per newly accepted player for that server.
Track players from video to FiveM server
Make a simple record of each accepted post, its platform, eligible views, reward, and destination. If you use campaign links, keep tracking consistent and do not include private player data in their URLs. Make two independent measurements for eligible view counts and destination visits as well as applications received. Aggregate comparison will give useful figures for those cases where individual identification was not possible.
For instance, you ran a fictional campaign paying creators $200 that brought ten completed applications, making the campaign’s average cost per application $20. It does not say that ten players were accepted and came to your server. Evaluate the later processes separately. Describe the sum used for measuring so that you do not compare the rewards amount alone with the total campaign cost.
Fix weak steps before spending more
When there are a lot of viewers who never reach the destination, evaluate the quality of the destination and CTA. In case people visit and leave the application form unfinished, check whether the requirements were clear and the form was too complicated. If they accept your invitation and leave quickly, check whether the clip promises an experience they cannot find there.
The best thing to try is to run the next version with one specific change to the plan: an improved opening or description of the onboarding process. Do not let other parts of the brief change so much that you cannot find the difference after that comparison. Apply your findings to the roleplay server campaign page and develop your next campaign brief. GTA Clipper's public campaign directory currently describes formats. Confirm funded campaign availability and payment terms before creators start paid work.
