GTA 6 Clip Approval: A Clear Review Workflow

A good clip review says exactly what matches the creative brief and what needs to change. Keep creative approval, posting approval and reward checks separate, because mixing them up leads to errors and misunderstandings.

GTA 6 clip review stages

The contribution may involve such stages as an application, approval of the content before posting, its review after the live publication and confirmation of eligibility of the views for reward. There are distinct processes, so they should be specified along with parties responsible for every step.

Apply such terms as received, under review, corrections required, accepted, rejected and reward pending. Try not to apply the approved term since it refers to the various statuses. You can find instructions about setting the appropriate workflow for a campaign in the GTA 6 Campaign Brief Guide

Check the source footage first

Ensure that the video uses the approved sources of clips and the assets. If applicable, it should match the source timecodes. Even an excellently edited video might be ineligible due to unauthorized participation of an extra person or privacy invasion. Sometimes the clip is ineligible in terms of some unauthorized sources of clips, music or the scope of the campaign.

Keep your notes about the original video alongside the submission. Make the creators provide the source file/link for their convenience. You can find detailed instructions on that topic in the Content Rights Guide.

Fact-check GTA 6 clips separately from creative review

Firstly, ensure that the video is accurate in terms of the compliance of its hook to the scene and validity of the statements as well as the labeling of the speculative data. Secondly, check whether the clip meets the other requirements: formatting, captions, disclosure, attribution, branding and the approved call to action.

That division makes the feedback clearer for the creators. Even the beautifully edited video can mislead viewers or vice versa. Let the creators know exactly what you expect from the contribution.

Review clips against the campaign brief

The reviewers must not introduce new preferences to contributors in the review process since the reviewers' job is just checking whether the contributors have followed the instructions. Provide examples of the approved and rejected submissions. It helps to review the clips consistently and understand how far the contributors can go within the brief. If the instructions are not clear enough and people have different opinions about them, change the campaign instructions.

Give creators specific revision feedback

Specify the timecode, the frame or the requirement in case the submission does not comply with it. For instance, if the reviewer finds the position of the disclosure inadequate, he or she should specify that the contribution obscures the disclosure. Such specific feedback will be more useful than the suggestion that it just needs some improvements. Group the comments about the various issues and gather them together so the contributors could revise everything at once. Differentiate clearly between mandatory corrections and optional advice. You can find a sample in the short-form clip editing guide.

Check the live GTA 6 post

Even though you have approved the creative content, the posting might violate the requirements. The contributor has to publish the clip, verify the account/public URL, the visibility setting, caption and tags; disclose the information using correct controls and make sure that it will not hide behind the platform controls. Also inspect the cover, audio, and destination of the published video.

Document the publishing date/time and reviewed version, and update that data in case of any updates of the submission by the creator. Explain to the creator how the corrections of the published submission affect the submission deadline and counting window.

Review reward eligibility and views

In the process of reviewing the rewards use such metrics as the number and share of the eligible views during the counting period, set the rewards rate, thresholds, and cap. Sometimes, just public counting might not be enough proof. Therefore make creative compliance and view validation separate stages of review.

Study the payment math, the definitions that are applied in the reports and campaign analytics in GTA 6 Clipping CPM. In case of any disputes about the rewards save all evidence and apply the review process specified in the brief for the dispute resolution.

Explain rejected submissions and appeals

In case of rejection explain to the creator what condition he/she should reach, and whether there is such a solution. If the contributor disputes such a decision, he/she should learn the escalation procedure that should be set to prevent disagreements in case of any conflict. This procedure helps to avoid disputes if there is a clearly specified review process.

Do not promise to respond promptly in case your team will not manage this. Set realistic expectations, and communicate all delays in the response. Campaign owners have to prepare appropriate review capacity prior to approving a large number of contributions since there can emerge the issues regarding creative process and payments.

Fix repeat rejections in your GTA 6 campaign

If you have a problem with repeated rejects, fix the brief, change the asset library or add the example. Thus, the review process can become training for the contributors as well.

When the campaign comes to the end reconcile the pending submissions and finalize the status for them according to the terms of the contract. Remember about the lessons learned that will be useful for the further work.
